Another second generation of just another mastodon of the auto industry, Hyindai. This time, the Hyundai Solaris has undergone processing and rethinking. Another budget segment sedan has become more aggressive on the outside. The attractive forms of this car even without the second generation pleased the Russians, but the new Solaris of the new generation, the second, to be precise, added modernity to the forms.
Sales started in 2016, replacing the previous model in the market. As a budget car, the Hyundai Solaris has everything that this car segment has to offer. To be honest, the Solaris were a godsend of the season of those years. Good performance coupled with a pleasant look and reliability quickly pushed out competitors “more expensive”.
The sedan engine received a displacement equal to 1.6 liters. But unlike the polo from our park, it was endowed with 123hp. which gave acceleration to hundreds in 10 seconds. With all this, the average gas mileage is approximately 6.5 liters per 100 km. so a 50 liter tank is enough for a very long distance.
The second generation Solaris suspension remained intact. All the same MacPherson strut front and rear torsion beam. Front-wheel drive gives you a better road feel. Note the electric power steering, which is much nicer than hydro.
Security is not bad. There are a couple of airbags in the front – for the driver and passenger, tire pressure sensors and other small “amenities”.
In general, Hyundai Solaris is getting better and better, not giving way to competitors in its niche.
